Why does pain medication cause ringing in my ears?
I have been prescribed a few different things for my gallbladder attacks (pending surgery)…… Vicodin, Darvocet and Tylenol 3 make me feel terrible and they don'r work. Percocet works the best, but I need two to get rid of the pain. My doctor says that it is okay, they are 5/325 tablets. Will the tylenol hurt my liver? The bottle says 6 hours, but I need it closer to 4, is that normal? Am I immune to pain medication or just in a lot of pain? Even morphine in the hospital only lasted around two hours.
Any info is helpful!
I have biliary hypokenesia and cholocyitis

If you need something that lasts longer then 6 hours ask your doctor for a low dose of Oxycontin maybe 10mg taken every 12 hours. It is like the Percocet you are taken now but it is a controlled release and has no Tylenol in it.Good luck,
Jojo
Your best bet would be to check back with your Dr.
well … here are the steps to find out
1. look around and find a phone
2. dial your dctor's phone number
3. talk to your doctor and ask him about your ear problem
4. dont forget to hang up and put the phone on the reciever
Go and talk with your doc more.
If you take medication (the same kind) a lot, the effects work start wearing off. Talk to your doctor about new pain medication and possible physical therapy (these will absolutely help with the pain)
ask for more morphine if it wears off!
I was treated as an adult very young in terms of medication, It is normal to take some medication before the label times.
Tylenol will not hurt your liver, only if your immune system thinks it's a posion. But don't take any medication more than two hours from it's label time
