When do you experience this?
How often??
Does it ring when you hear loud noise or you are in a silent place??
Or it just ring all of a sudden??
I bet that is a tinnitus…pls read this..

An old wives’ tale is that, when you get a ringing in your ears, someone is talking about you.
Scientifically, though, it is typically caused by a change in blood-flow to your ears, or as a response to a loud, abbrasive noise, such as a gunshot or explosion.
There are hundreds of different causes. I got tinnitus about a month ago after I went to a concert that was WAYYY too loud. It was BAD!! I had been to many concerts before and had ringing, but it went away in a day or so.
Now it’s been over a month and my ears are still ringing. I spent over ten thousand dollars going to doctors, emergency rooms, and Ear, Nose and Throat specialists and none of them could fix it. Mine is not curable.
Hopefully yours is caused by something curable, but it might not be. I don’t mean to freak you out, but it’s for real. Mine is most likely permanent after this long according to the doctors.
The doctor told me that when the little fibrous hairs [nerve endings] in your ear get damaged they send a signal to your brain that your brain basically doesn’t understand.
Your brain then automatically assumes that because this "signal" is coming from your ears that it must be a sound. Mine sounds like the high pitched noise that a television projection tube makes when it’s switched on.
When it first happened I couldn’t believe that it was happening to me. I thought that I was going to end up killing myself. I read online that other people just "got used to it" and this seemed impossible!
But it’s been a while now, and I have in fact gotten more used to it. I had to stop drinking caffeine as this seemed to make it worse, and get adequate sleep and after a bout with anxiety and depression, I guess my body is just accepting this as the new "normal".
But like I said, hopefully this won’t be permanent for you, but if it is… there is hope, and I feel your pain. Many people have permanent tinnitus… most of them are musicians, factory workers, and people who are exposed to loud noises.
It can be caused by noise exposure, ear infections, medication side effects or just getting old. It can last a day, a week, months, years.. .or a lifetime.
I hope that I helped and didn’t freak you out too bad, but I know how horrible it is and especially when it’s happening to you. I came on yahoo answers when it started and no one could give me a straight forward answer, so I’m just trying to give you the facts.
Good luck.
The "ringing" is called tinnitus and it is something that you need to see your doctor about right away. Tinnitus may be caused by an array of things from exposure to loud noise to a more serious condition such as Meniere’s disease. If untreated your hearing could be severely damaged or even lost. I recommend seeing an audiologist or otolaryngologist (ear/nose/throat doctor) as soon as you can. Tinnitus may be accompanied by a variety of symptoms such as dizziness, disoeientation and light-headedness so please be careful when walking or driving.
