If there is an ear wax build up?

If there is an ear wax build up to the point where it’s difficult to hear out of your one ear, will leave it alone fix it? I heard that if you left it alone it would move out towards to the opening of the ear, but it might take a day or two. Please, any information is greatly appreciated.

Tinnitus problems….please help!!!?

Hi all. I have had a very loud ringing/roaring in my ear for about a week. Let me explain my situation. About a week ago, I woke up and could hardly hear anything. I thought it was ear wax build-up, so I tried to put some ear wax removal in my ear to relieve it. Didn’t work, so I went to get it removed by a doctor. A day or two later, I began to get the ringing. I can’t sleep peacefully anymore. I have used walkmans/mp3s for the past 15 years or so with no problem. Could that be the cause of such horrible ringing? I also read that some birth control pills can cause it as well, and I have been on ortho for 2 months. I plan on seeing another doctor soon, but is this something I just have to live with?? Could it also be stress-related, though I have never had this problem before when I was stressed.

Just as i wasnt starting to feel well i noticed a ringing in my ears and found that it could of been tinnitus. Its been getting a bit worse and my ears feel blocked and i have had sinus pain behind my eye. Im wondering if this could of caused it and will the ringing go? If so how long?

explosion ?

I live in south east Queensland and there was a massive power cut yesterday and after about half an hour in there was a massive blue explosion. btw a bus came down our street and that’s not normal. the lights didnt come on for about 2 hours.

Okay, I am starting to lose it and go insane. I am 18. In my right ear there I keep getting what sounds like a really soft drum playing really fast in my ear. The intervals between each beat are fast but totally random. This used to last 2-3 seconds 2 weeks ago, but just today it has been pushing 20 seconds or more. It is COMPLETELY random. Nothing specific triggers it, except I've noticed that if I am sitting down doing nothing (ie watching TV) it is less likely to occur.

I thought maybe it was Tinnitus but I am not hearing any buzzing/hissing sounds etc. I went to the doctor today and he pulled out some ear wax and he said there was a significantly larger amount in there than in my other ear. So I was hoping that was the cause. But its been 6 hours now and the beating noise is just as bad.

I am on the verge of insanity! I am not sick, I am active, I am healthy, my blood pressure is a bit above normal (130, tested today, no idea why). Could it be tensor tympani syndrome? help!
Extra note: the sound is also comparable to when you have water in your ear.

Buzzing in the Ears/Tinnitus?

Hi. I am a healthy 29 year old female. I work at a quiet office, don’t go to night clubs, don’t listen to loud music, and don’t go to concerts. I hear buzzing in both my ears, for five weeks. I haven’t had the flu for a few years. I saw an ear, nose, and throat specialist. He confirmed that my ears aren’t clogged/no ear wax build up. He couldn’t tell me what is causing the buzzing. I have to have a hearing test in a week. This is annoying and I am worried. Has anyone else had this? Do you know what caused it?

Thank you for you time.

A few questions on ear wax/ringing?

For the past week, my left ear has been feeling clogged and I'm assuming that it is an ear wax build-up. However, at random intervals during my sleep, I wake up to a slight ringing in my left ear. It's quite a nuisance. THE ONLY WAY that I've found to stop it is by popping my ears, if that helps. Also, whenever I move my jaw with my mouth close, I can feel a click in my left ear.

I'm already familiar with tinnitus, and hopefully that's not what's causing the problem.

Could the slight ringing be due to the ear wax blockage? I already plan on purchasing ear drops (Debrox).

10 points for best answer.
Thanks guys.
Hopefully I posted this in the right section.

could long term use of Imitrex cause Tinnitus?

I have been taking aound 900 mgs each month for migraines for over 10 years.

Now during the last year I have noticed I am getting Tinnitis and it is getting worse.
I have a hard time sleeping at night even with 2 noisy fans running.
The metallic ringing sounds come from 2 and sometimes 3 diferent areas of my head. And gets louder if I move my head sise to side. It drives me crazy and If for some reasaon I am woke up during the night there is no way I can go back to sleep because the sound is so irritating.
I saw an Ear specialist and I have no ear wax build up and he could see no obvious cause for the sudden tinnitus.
I do have high cholesterol of 235
I was taking Welbutrin and Zonegram but stopped to see if it was the meds causing the tennitus but it wasn't.
If it is the long term use of Imitrex (like asprin) is causing the tinnitus will stopping the med eventually cause it to go away or am I stuck with it forever?

Woke up with ringing in ear. Tinnitus??

Hi all,

I woke up this morning with ringing in my left ear. It's driving me insane. I did some research and found the symtom tinnitus. I thought it was ear wax build up, so I cleaned it with a over the counter ear wax remover, but the ringing still occurs. What I have found out about tinnitus is that it can be also caused to over-dose of caffeine. I have taken a lot of caffeine the past 2 days and I also drink about 5 beers a week. Could it be tinnitus that's buzzing me? This ringing has happened to me before, only when I got water in my hear from showering and it would cure itself in a week. What can I do to make it better? I just want the ringing to stop. Please help.
I do listen to music moderately loud in the car and at home, but not extremely loud that I can't hear anything else. Also I do not take aspirin at all or any sort of pain releivers.
yes. i also smoke about 8 cigarettes per day.

after i went and see a doctor, my doctor say i got glue ear or otitis media. i dont have any pain or any hearing loss but i just feel fullness and constant ringing sound in my right ear. can i ask, does glue ear cause tinnitus? and 1 more thing i live in a quiet enviroment so loud noise is not the factor and my doctor say my ear is clean and free of ear wax. I also don have any injury in my ear.
