actually its not really ringing per say… more like a t.v. with no station, ya know shhhhhhh white noise.

i've noticed when i get really mad it changes to a high pitch solid tone.

one doc gave me hi blood pressure pills, but my pressure has always been & still is very good. i don't take them they made me really "oogie" and dizzy, droopy feeling.

i did go to lots of concerts and listen to music too loud in the car.

ya think its just damage or signs of something else? why does it change when i get pissed?

Last night we had a little mishap with a potato in the microwave and the smoke detector went off. We live in a studio apartment that doesn't have the greatest air flow so despite our best efforts, it took almost 5 mins for the alarm to stop sounding.

My fiance snores so I normally sleep with ear plugs in. Last night when I put them in I realized my ears were ringing pretty badly. It sounded like an annoying high pitched tone. There was no way I could sleep with them in like that, so I turned on a fan for white noise and ended up not sleeping very much at all.

Is there anyway to stop or lessen the ringing or do I pretty much have to let it run it's course?

Anyone out there know where I can download some sound samples of the kind of "white noise" that can be played to lessen the effects of Tinnitus? I found that driving in my car makes me forget about the constant ringing in my ears for short periods. This is the only time this happens. Looking it up, it seems that there are several CD's with different sounds that offer this. I'd like to sample several before I try it. I've also heard of training courses that are available for helping one to ignore the ringing. It has brought my life to a stand still. Any help would be appreciated.

Recently, I have been assigned a project on white noise, although I pretty much grasped the concept of white noise and its applications in life, i need to build a machine that produces white noise with simple items. can anyone help me on this? Thanks.

I have already had problems with ringing in my ears before taking this medicine but now it's really loud and bothersome. It's so bad I have trouble falling asleep to white noise now. Something I could easily do before.

I just want to know if I quit taking it if that side effect will stop.

i am 15 . i have ringing since am 11 in both ears. it started with a flu and ear pain. both were gone but the ringing stayed. then it was so low that i hardly noticed or complained. but last february. i had another flu and ear pain. the ringing increased and the flu and pain went away. went to a doc. i get scared whenever i enter a clinic. so scared that if you touch me you will feel pulses. anyway he measured blood pressure and found it high. so he told me to go to a heart doc. i went of course i was so scared and bp was high he gave me bp meds for a week bec am young and didnt want me to get used to it then tranquilizers. i also made heart xray on heart and it was alright and blood tests was also fine . i notice when i turn my neck left or right it inc . or when i press on my teeth it inc. i also notice there are fluids alot from my ear after using headphones. i also think i do have bp bec i get pulses all over my body but in summer i was alright and happy but in school days i get all messed up . i have the white noise mp3 but i dunno when to listen for how long or anything . plz help me . i have hope since when i move my neck it inc. and since when i put my headphones fluids come. oh btw in summer when i was not stressed or having bp or anything the ringing was still there and about white noise . if its to help people sleep then i dont need i overcame this stage. plz help me dont scare me . am shaking when am typing this right now and i need hope . am 15 maybe after 15 years there will be cure . who knows
I went to a doc have you even read? he found nothing with my ear . and what piano nothing is cool about it . and i took antibiotics they did nothing . plz serious answers . i went to a doc
