I have gone to two doctors who both say that I dont have a tumor. But I have ringing in my ears and no ear infection. And I keeo getting pain in in head. Am I being paranoid? Or is there a good chance there is something wrong?

I've had a ringing in my right ear for several months now. It's only noticable at night but it's continuous. I also have a slight discomfort when I touch the interior of the same ear around the eardrum. Not 'pain' or an 'ear-ache'–just a discomfort that I don't feel in the other ear.

Before I start worrying about something serious, like a tumor, I'd like to sample some simpler explanations.

The most likely explanation I can think of is this:

I shower daily, sometimes twice a day–often just before I go to bed. I never wipe out my ears with a towel. On top of that, our well-water is pretty dirty, loaded with E. coli. Might this explain what I'm experiencing?

Any thoughts or alternative explanations?

Thanks!

Ear Pain, hearing loss in one ear, headache?

I have hearing loss in my right ear plus tinnitus. I have had a headache in the ear and behind the right ear that goes down to my neck. The MRI didn't show any signs of a tumor, but the pain is consistent. I wanted to know if anyone else has these symptoms and know what could cause them.
