Lost my hearing in left ear – then got the Tinnitus – had surgery to remove my inner ear as this was supposed to get rid of it…..it came back shortly after and has remained. I am going back to the surgeon in December, but can anyone give me any answers or does anyone have similar experiences?

I have been advised there is no cure for tinnitus! I cannot survive awful ringing sounds in the ears? Surely there must be some cure available somewhere?

Randomly i get a ringing noise in my left ear. It rarely happens, but still, it has happen more than a few times already over the past couple of months.
I dunno why it happens, but just randomly my ear has some ringing noise
Is this something serious
I found out its called Tinnitus. Got more details about it in wiki, only my case, at least i don't think so, is as sirious as it is explained in wiki.
My ear hasn't rang since yesterday, but if it happens again, more often, i think i'm better of going to the doctor.

My heart breaks when I have to stand by and witness my daughter battling to cope with the ear ringing! That isn't the worst though, because she battles to get to sleep her general health is also starting to suffer. It appears to me that as she is always so tired and anxious, she can't sleep for long and always seems to pick up almost every germ that is going around. Can this be because of her tinnitus? Where can I get a tinnitus treatments right now.

For a couple of months now I've had problems with my eustachian tubes. crackling, popping in ears and back of my neck, ear pain and some mild tinnitus. My doctor told me to start taking pseudoephedrine and to stick with it. Here lately, I've been experiecing a popping like feeling in my throat whenever I swallow. As if my saliva is passing over something. I can only feel it if my head is at different positions. So what my question is, is if this is caused by my ear dysfunction, maybe a possibility of an inflamed node caused by the infection? Any ideas or remedies would be greatly appreciated!

Can tinnitus manifest itself as two different sounds in both ears? My left ear has had a high pitched ringing for years, and now my right ear has a low pulsing hum. Is this normal or is it something else? I am a 23 year old seemingly healthy male.
The pulsating hum is new .. maybe 1 month old.. and does not go with my heart beat – it is much slower. I take Claritin D daily, rarely use Motrin IB for back pain and never more than 400mg in a dose. I was on a Prednisone oral 10 day schedule starting with 50mg back in January, and I had a 40mg Kenalog injection in mid-February. I have cut caffeine out of my diet, and I quit smoking entirely (never more than 1 a day previously… usually 3 a week so not heavy.)
I can't figure this out! I have googled to no avail, and I am hesitant to go to the doctor because I am unemployed and have no insurance. When the left ear ringing began, they told me the ringing was permanent and to just live with it.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
I had a hearing test when I was 14 and the initial ringing started. They found minimal loss of hearing and said it was most likely from an ear infection and it may or may not be permanent.
Fast forward 9 years, I have taken great care with my ears. I have only been to maybe 4 or 5 indoor concerts with loud music lasting 1-2hrs each. I realized this was dumb and haven't gone to one in about 3 years. I even avoid movie theatres because the sound is too loud for my taste.
As for the medicine, I stopped taking Claritin-D and this problem started up. I had a congested left ear for a month which wouldn't clear and I took it daily during winter as well as Nasonex to clear that up. Could this be related?
I don't think this would be a big problem if it was sort of the same tune. Its like the opposite sound in my right ear and extremely annoying because it pulses and is hard to cover up.

I have had a ringing sound in my ears for a while now but recently, i've been getting a ring AND a humming sort of sound… the soft humming type of sound only occurs when i'm sleeping and i can't hear it during the day even when it's totally quiet.. can there be more than one sound if you have tinnitus and why does it only occur when i sleep, can it be something to do with me lying down? Thanks!
the ringing is there always, it's the humming type noise which i'm referring too. Thank you

..
i don't know if i should keep taking this drug or find something natural instead?? i heard exercise helps?? any other remedies?
another thing i am in the process of finding good psychologist to get some therapy since i heard it also helps? does it?

My theory is that this be resulting from the tinnitis? Where can I get a tinnitus treatment for her.

On Wednesday afternoon I accidently fired a handgun without ear protection. I only fired 3 or 4 shots before I realized I didn't have ear protection, but I've had ringing in my left ear since then. It's been about 4 days and I'm wondering if this is permanent or not. I read all about tinnitus and how the hairs in the ear bend and send signals to the nerves, but is it possible that the hairs can straighten out on their own? This was the first time I've ever done this, any insight?

My heart breaks when I have to watch my Mom battling to cope with the ringing noses in her ears! That is not the worst though, as she find it hard to fall asleep her overall health is also starting to suffer. It appears to me that because she is always so irratable and anxious, she doesn't get to sleep much and always seems to catch virtually every sickness that is doing the rounds. Is this be related to her tinnitis? I am searching for a tinnitus cure right now.
