I know this is a weird recommendation but try a hair dryer aimed at your ear.
This should help.

Perhaps your sinuses drained into your inner ear? This is fairly common when you sleep on one side for an extended period of time. It could also be wax build-up. If so, try using a wax removal liquid
That's a tinnitus. If it's not from loud noise then it could be a sign for an ear infection or injury. Go to a doctor and get your ear checked.
Get well soon.
If it's just one ear, it's probably ear wax that can be removed by an ear, nose, throat doctor (otolaryngologist), by irrigation with a syringe. You can often learn to do it yourself but I wouldn't until you've had it done a few times so you know what it's about. You wouldn't want to puncture your eardrum. You can try softening it with some mineral oil and hydrogen peroxide makes it fizz up. Or just buy some Debrox at the drugstore and follow the directions.
If it's fluid in the inner ear, you might like to try an over the counter decongestant to see if that helps. If it does, then that means you have liquid or sinus drainage that went up your eustachian tube to the ear, and that entrance is located in the inside of your mouth where your nose drains by your inner ear. If that's what it is you might want to see that same doctor because if you can't get rid of it it could breed infection.
