How long does it take for your ears to stop ringing after being RIGHT next to a huge speaker at a concert?

Like the question states, I was at a Shinedown concert last night, and was standing right next to a huge speaker. My ears are still ringing like crazy and they wont stop. My hearing is also somewhat distorted still (Its almost like there is a blanket over my ears). Anything I can do to help them? Did I damage them permanently?

1-3 days. saw shinedown and STP at rockfest in kansas city a couple weeks ago, same thing happened to me.
I was at a Reggae Concert a few months ago and didn't realize the seats were in row 1—right next to the speakers.
I experienced the same thing—ringing and distortion in hearing. It usually takes a day or two for this to begin to go away. There is nothing you can do to at this point. Unless you punctured your eardrum—there is not permanent damage.
I always bring earplugs to concerts "Just in case". You can still hear the music well, but you will not suffer the lingering sound from the loud music.
