Gold Bond - put it on until the skin can't absorb anymore, wrap the area with cellophane and go to bed. In the morning, it should no longer be a bother. You may have to do this for a couple days in order for it to be fully effective.

My friend has a baby who has very bad eczema, and after doing some research, started rubbing flaxseed oil on his body. She said within 2 or 3 days, it cleared.

My son has minor eczema, and I bought a bottle of flaxseed oil for him. It works! Always clears it up. Apparently, some eczema is caused by a deficiency of omega-3 oils in the body. You can take the flaxseed oil internally, or rub it on the skin. Make sure you buy cold-pressed oil (it will need to be refrigerated to keep it fresh) at a reputable health-food store. This is the most potent kind. It's less than $10 for a nice large bottle.
