Do homeopathic remedies (the little ones you can buy in health stores) work at all?

I am 20 and I've had constant/24 hr ringing in the ears for 6 years now. I've tried pretty much everything, but have never tried a homeopathic tinnitus remedy? is there any chance however slim that it may help?
argh, I've been to like 80000000 doctors
thanks John, that settles that then. it's just water?! wow. sorry to hear you have it too, it can be a pain.

No. Homeopathy is nonsense.
It is based on the idea that you can take a substance that treats a problem and dilute it with water, BUT the water somehow retains the properties of the original substance even though the end result is so diluted that very few or none of the active molecules are present in the finished product.
If you think about it another way, since water is recycled through nature, and has been for billions of years, it is safe to say that every molecule of water has, at one time or another, been a part of a growing plant or excreted by an animal. In other words, if homeopathy were true, all water would have the properties of pee, poop, and/or sugar.
And some tinnitus can't be cured. I've had it since a firecracker went off near my ear when I was even. Mine is permanent damage to the nerves in the ear canal.
just go to a doctor
