Could this really JUST be anxiety?
Hi guys I'm hoping someone may be able to help me. I am an 18 year old female & for the past 2 months or so I have been very light headed. It's not vertigo but it feels as though I could pass out. Along with this,I feel tired all the time sometimes I feel like I'm in a dream and I'm always with brain fog where I just don't feel right. I seem to not be able to concentrate as well as I used to. I also have pulsatile tinnitus(doctors don't seem to worry about it too much) I've had MRI's of my brain also MRA because I thought I wasn't getting enough blood flow to my head, I've had CT scans, Carotid Ultrasound, and blood tests.
What could possibly be wrong with me? I went to a neurologist, cardiologist, and an ENT. They all think it might be anxiety.
Right now I am going to another ENT who THINKS it might be BBPV…it's just a suggestion, he doesn't sound too sure though. He says not to worry about the pulsatile tinnitus…but the thing is that 2 days after first getting the pulsatile tinnitus I started getting the dizzy spells.
Could this all just be anxiety????
But could the anxiety cause 24/7 ANXIETY?
I meant 24/7 LIGHTHEADEDNESS*****
sorry about the typo.

No, you have too many solid symptoms for it to be anxiety. That's what doctors say when they don't know what it is.
My medications make me feel like that sometimes. I have HPB, but the med was too high. I also take antidepressants, and they can do that, too. Anti-anxiety meds, too.
You're too young to be this way. You need to get well so you can live your life.
The only thing I can recommend is to see another specialist. Ask your doctor who is the best in town (or in the USA) in his field (neurology, radiology, ENT, etc.). Then ask him to refer you. If no one can give you a definitive diagnosis, keep seeing specialists until someone does.

100000000000000000000000% anxiety! I'm 19 years old and I've had your exact symptoms now for about 6 months. It's a pain in the rear but it's something you'll just have to deal with
. At time I feel like I'm going to faint, I get blurred vision, my hands get really cold, tingly fingers..but it's all just anxiety.
I've struggled with anxiety for nearly my entire life. Sometimes I will get light headed, dizzy, or even feel like it's hard to breathe or my heart will pound.
Sometimes my vision even gets blurry or distorted in other ways.
Anxiety will do lots of things to you, and the main thing it does is make you worry that it is something else.
I've been diagnosed with panic disorder, and I currently take medication to solve this problem.
You are tired because even if you don't notice, the stress of it constantly wears down on your body.
What helps with this is taking Zoloft or Xanax for the anxiety, and clonazepam at night to fix the chemicals in your brain… you can't take it during the day because it makes you tired.
Clearly, these are all prescrption meds but it helps A LOT.
I hope this helps you!
Sounds more like Munchausens to me, it becomes ever more prevalent the more narcissistic society becomes.
have you even been tested for lyme? its called the great imitator for a reason, my mother went undiadnosed for 20 years, while you dont have all the symptoms she had, you do have some similar ones, the brain fog, dizzy spells, tiredness, and countless diagnoses that didnt fit. Long story short, my mother went into the hospital because of the lyme, and none of the doctors could figure out what was going on. just think about whether or not you've ever EVER had a bulls eye rash, or if you just want to get tested just in case. another note about the lyme test, my mother tested negative for 20 years, so you need to do your own reseach to see if your symptoms match lyme
yes.it absolutely, and quite likely is all anxiety.i say this from personal experience.
all the best.
It seems to me by your question that you seem to think that there may be more to this than just anxiety. And sometimes we need to listen to our own internal guidance system even when the specialists tell us something else.
I don't know what your blood tests told you and I wouldn't want to contradict the professionals, but I've always been slightly anemic even when it didn't show up on my blood tests. It caused me both light headedness and constant fatigue. Adding more iron to my diet or through iron supplements has helped. I also would not discount that tinnitus.
All in all, I would say trust your instincts and keep looking for answers, especially if it is interfering with your life. In the mean time you can do something for anxiety. It will certainly rule it out, if you're working with it. After all life can become pretty stressful for all of us. Good luck!
It's absolutely anxiety. I have the same problem: from time to time out of no where I get this light-headed feeling and my whole head starts to tingle, I become lethargic and my heart starts beating really fast. It sucks but you're just gonna have to deal with it babe.
Things could be a lot worse.
Anxiety does sometimes cause dizziness. I have three suggestions for you.
1) Make sure the doctors are not creating the problem as a result of prescription medications you may be taking.
2) I believe in the healing power of prayer. I would check out this website: http://www.healingrooms.com You can visit a local healing room in your area.
3) The only good answers for anxiety are found in the bible. I suggest you check out the website below for biblical answers for anxiety.
