Can’t Sleep Because of Tinnitus?
I have a cyst in my brain that has been causing severe tinnitus (ringing in the ears) for the past four years. It has been getting progressively more noticeable and is giving me problems when I’m trying to sleep.
I usually am not able to get to sleep until very late at night, usually 2 or 3am.. I’ve tried every type of remedy to relive the noise and nothing has worked. I’ve even used sleep aids in the past but I ended stopping so I wouldn’t become dependent on them.
Any tips on helping me to either get rid of the tinnitus or helping me fall asleep easier?

Hey man,
While I was doing my research on tinnitus, I come to realize there is actually something you can do about your tinnitus before you go to sleep.
It is a form of audio therapy that is used to suppress your tinnitus sound before you go to sleep. If I am not mistaken, it is a form of Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT).
However, I can assure you this process is going to take long and costly.
May I propose you to consider the use of home remedies. I have come to know some tinnitus patients who have recovered from tinnitus as a result of using home remedies.
Yeah, I know it shocked me too but if it works for others, why not you.
I’ve also found you a useful website on tinnitus treatments and you can take a look at it. I hope you will find help there.
Hi There,
Certain diseases affecting the brain like the ones affecting the auditory centers inside the brain can cause tinnitus. Are yours Arachnoid cysts?
Well, as far as tinnitus cure goes, there is hardly any, atleast with the conventional allopathic doctors.
Xanax is very popular and is prescribed often for tinnitus. However, the ATA report on medications that cause tinnitus lists Xanax as causing it in 6.6% of cases.
Natural and holistic tinnitus remedies can be effective in assisting with the relief of symptoms, as well as addressing the individual’s overall health and well-being.
Tinnitus herbal remedies can be used to support all body systems involved in helping the ear to perform its tasks of clear hearing and balance, as well as the circulatory, cardiovascular, and nervous systems.
Some of the most common herbs used are
• Ginkgo Biloba is excellent for a number of cerebral and circulatory disorders. It is probably the most widely-used herb for tinnitus and many sufferers swear by this natural ingredient.
• Rosemary dilates and strengthens blood vessels and is an excellent circulation tonic. Rosemary is particularly useful for tinnitus that is caused or worsened by high blood pressure and other circulatory conditions.
• Avena Sativa is effective in reducing high cholesterol levels which can contribute to circulatory problems which cause tinnitus.
• Wild Hyssop s also useful in reducing pain and inflammation.
• Salicylic Ac. is indicated for tinnitus with loud roaring or ringing sounds, which may be accompanied by deafness or vertigo. This remedy is particularly useful in people whose symptoms began with a bout of flu, Meniere’s disease or long-term use of aspirin.
Hope all this helps
Good Luck!
