My ear feels like it has a muffle on it or like I pluged it up, and the strange loud ringing sound won’t go away.

You have damaged your ears a bit. It happens every time you go to a concert or a loud club. It could be permanent, but most likely it will get better. Of course, if you keep doing it, it will get worse and really damage you. Most rock musicians wear earplugs–I also bring earplugs when I go to a concert–sometimes I don’t need them if I am far away from the stage, but it is good to have them on hand.
When you are born, you have 100% hearing. As you age, and are exposed to loud noises, you can damage your ears. There are little hairs in your ear that help you hear–when you are exposed to loud noise, it either destroys them or temporarily injures them. You can’t regrow them. Loud music–like at concerts and now earphones for iPods and such really can cause permanent damage.
A few years ago, there was that thing about a ringer sound you could download that only younger people could hear? Adults couldn’t hear it so you could answer your phone or text in stealth? Or that bit about how stores were playing that same tone constantly to keep "the teenagers" out? Well, that is an example, of how as you get older your ear gets more and more damaged. So by the time you are an older adult, you might be hard of hearing.
Below is a very interesting website about how our hearing is damaged:
"Limit periods of exposure to noise. Don’t sit next to the speakers at concerts, discos, or auditoriums. If you are at a rock concert, walk out for awhile give your ears a break ! If you are a musician, wear ear protection–it is a necessity! Take personal responsibility for your hearing."
you have damaged your ear. The tiny hairs in the cochlea in your ear that enable you to hear have been damaged and it may take a few days for you to regain your hearing.
It will probably wear off after a few days. However, learn your lesson from this experience. Loud noise DAMAGES your hearing. If you repeatedly do the same thing your hearing will be permanently damaged. Many young people now have hearing levels similar to people 30 or 40 years older than them because of loud music/stereos etc. Losing your hearing at a young age is not pleasant and totally unnecessary.
Hope yours gets back to normal soon.
you did damage the hair cells of your cochlea. It should decrease as time goes on unless you have done this a lot. I agree with what I have read from the other responders for the most part.
The asha website is a good one. It is the organization that governs audiologists (hear specialists) and it tries to get its information from sound solid scientific evidence.
The ringing in the ear almost everybody gets at sometime in their life. It is called tinnitus. Some people have it nearly 24/7 and some people with extreme cases have been driven to suicide by it.
My audiologist says a concert every now and then is not going to destroy your ear, but still be careful, and wear ear plugs while your there and up close.
My uncle had his eardrum burst at a metallica concert because the speakers were so loud.
