What are your symptoms of tinnitus. Does it ever go away?
My husband is being tested for it and the sounds in his ears are constant.

My body has never been very responsive to pain reliever; I always have to take quite a bit for it to have an effect. I’ve taken two Aleve pills over the past two hours, and my headache hasn’t gone away. I’d rather not pop any more pills. Anyone have any good homemade remedies? Thanks. ![]()
We've been married for 5 years, I don't remember this happening before and it doesn't happen when anyone else starts talking to me.
Lucian stumbled through the graveyard, blood pouring from the massive hole in his chest. His body throbbed with agonizing pain, his entire body on life support. Everything around him was a blur, barely recognizable. His mind was torn apart; both the physical and mental counterparts of his body were severely damage. His whole soul felt like it had been tainted with pure evil. His whole body felt like it had been to the heart of darkness itself. He felt…impure, a outcast of humanity, nothing in his life had ever hurt like this before. He heard the laughs in the back of his mind, the screeching shouts of laughter; it was the shouts of a demon.
He fell to the ground, tears running down his cheeks, not because of the pain, but because of the betrayal, the deceit, the lies, the evil. His own brother had done this to him. His own brother, his kin, had destroyed him. Lucian felt as if his heart had been ripped out, and thrown against a wall. Lucian shouted one last cry, before he faded into utter blackness.
Voices, Lucian thought. He heard voices. Lucian’s eyes burst open, and he looked around him. He seemed to be in some sort of hospital. He was in a bed with white sheets, and medical supplies lay on the many counters of the room. Syringes, bandages, it was all there. Lucian lifted himself up a bit, and the sheets on his chest slid down, revealing a massive amount of bandages on his wound. Lucian laid his head back down, suddenly wanting to rest. He could still hear voices outside his door, as he fell back into a deep slumber…
The girl had watched him turn in his sleep for the past few weeks. He would wake up suddenly and then go back into his slumber. Her father did not know why he hadn’t awakened fully yet, but her father suspected it would be very soon. The girl noticed that he had deep piercing blue eyes, with a muscular body; he would make a good warrior. Maybe he was a warrior, how could she know…
His hair went down to his ears, and his hair color was like darkness itself. He rolled over again, mumbling in his sleep. The girl yawned and began to fall asleep, until she noticed he was awakening. Maybe he’ll actually stay awake this time, the girl thought with a smirk on her face.
“Whe-where am I?” the boy asked urgently, as if he was running from someone. His eyes darted back and forth around the room, as if he was looking for someone.
“Calm down. You’re at a clinic; we have been treating your wounds for weeks. You’re perfectly fine now though.” the girl calmly replied.
The boy relaxed, and calmly asked her for his clothes.
“Ahh… Yes, let me go get them for you, I’m sure you would like to be getting out of here quickly”, she said wisely, winking at him before she left the room. She went down the hall, and entered a room filled with cabinets. She opened a drawer in one of them, and pulled out a cloak and a regular black leather shirt and cloak. By the time she returned the boy was gone. She wasn’t surprised, she had expected it. She smiled and then sat the clothes down on the bed, hearing a loud ringing noise. It was time for a town meeting.
The boy was already out of the village by the time the bell rang. The clinic was close to the village gate, so it didn’t take a long time for him to escape the sight of the townsfolk. Lucian accepted his fate; he was now a half-demon. His psychical appearance didn’t change, but in the inside dark powers swirled within his body. Lucian was wearing the clinic clothes, a white shirt and white slacks. His bandages were removed and his wound had healed up. From the outside at least, what was hurt in the inside would never heal. Lucian looked towards the sky, and knew his life would be hard, but he would get through it.
If he ever met his brother again, there would be a battle. Lucian could promise that.

I wrote it in MS word, but all the formatting I did went to hell when I posted it here, but nevertheless here is my prologue for my story.
About 4 weeks ago my primary physician prescribed Zoloft to me to help with my anxiety and sleep problems that started occuring about 4 months ago, which I believe had started as a result of excessive stress. I had some really bad reactions to Zoloft (severe panic attacks and anxiety) and that's when the hissing – ringing in my ears started happening. I stopped taking the Zoloft after only 3 days but the Tinnitus continued since then. I don't ever notice it at work during the morning or afternoon. It's when I get home that I notice it, especially if I am fatigued or stressed out. Could the Zoloft reaction have triggered this Tinnitus and will it stop? I went to an ear, nose & throat specialist the other day, who checked my hearing and said I tested fine. He said the ringing noise is common among people with anxiety and that the anxiety must be treated with medication, preferably antidepressants, and that I needed to find one that I can live with, and it might be gone in 2 months.True?
i just woke up and my ears are ringing. i have not been exposed to loud noise recently and i just woke up this way. whats wrong?
I have an Audiologist appointment in three weeks (too long). I have been having unusually loud Tinnitus with a little buzzy distortion with external sound or music. But I also feel a slight pressure like what I get going up the mountains. I have no equilibrium problems or dizziness and my ears are clean of wax and the eardrum seems pink and healthy. Could this be an inner ear infection?
cyanne2ak-Thanks, I did not seem to have any allergy problems. Hmmm, perhaps the colds I almost got (but didn't get).
smdglvr-Ugh, how awful! Thankfully it does not feel that pressurized–yet.
Thanks Fire-Dawg, I will try that. BTW, it is called the "eustachian" tube for those looking things up. ![]()
marianne-thanks, the antihistamine is a good idea. May dry things up a bit. I did not get a cold, but everyone else did. I just kept using Zicam up the nose and it seemed to keep it at bay.
sunshine-thanks sunshine! I was suspended for a while (do a search for schneb), but I was brought back thanks to alot of good folk by my side.
I am going to try the antihist as marianned suggested. I have an audiologist appt. in 2 weeks–hopefully get an antibiotic then. I notice it is louder when I wake from sleep. Fluid buildup?
Wrathpuppet – Been trying to get a hold of you. I have something to send you but need an address. Yeah, I have busy doctors around here.
I've had problems with my jaw for several years, and I think orthodontia made them even worse. Now my bite is so misshapen that my head may as well be in a vice; the pressure on my ears has given me chronic tinnitus, and it gets worse along with the jaw tension. What can I do to re-shape my jaw and get rid of the terrible ringing? I really hope surgery isn't the only option, because I certainly can't afford it in the first place.
Im 14 years old, im a guy, and my homecoming is tonight.
I woke up this morning with zits on my forehead and cheeks.
Is there any way i can get rid of them before homecoming?
i can’t go buy some proactiv or clearasil or anything.
i was wondering if there are any home remedies or natural solutions.
thanks!
I started to get a pretty bad beeping noise in my ear about 4.5 months ago after attending a loud concert. The sound is much quieter now than it was when it first started, and I can usually only hear it when I'm in bed at night. What are the chances that it will fade away completely?
Every once in a while I get a weird ringing in my ear for like 5 seconds. And then at night as I'm falling asleep I'll hear a high bitched BOOM or ringing in my ear that will shake me from my sleep. What is that? My hearing is top notch and I dont have any other problems with it.
tinnitus?? im 18 and i cant stop listening to loud music.every song sucks when its on low volume.
but my question is—-what does treating it mean??? decreasing the sound of the tinnitus ringing in the ear???
I was suppose to go with a friend today to see the cherry blossoms. But she threw up this morning, so she can't go. I'm planning to stop by her house with a friend and give her some remedies, but I still have some time to make some more. Is there any other suggestions?
Does hot lemonade with honey help?
I got hit with a paint ball gun on my ear and now my ear is ringing its been a hour so far
I got hit in the head at basketball practice, i saw a white flash and ringing in my head/ears. since then every once in a while i would hear my phone ring, but no one called. I would randomly hear the facebook chat sound, when i wasnt on facebook. when i went to sleep i was woken up by a voice and other sounds like talking. Later i thought i heard my sister come home twice. The third time i heard it she actually did.
What is wrong with me?
